film stills 2018-19 Peri’s Studio, a short film illustrating the fight to save a historic exhibition hall in Camden Town from demolition. Using original archive material, photographs and interviews with residents, reflecting on the history of the site and drawing awareness to the quiet loss of public assets and historic or cultural buildings during regeneration projects.Public art and council housing are brought together putting artists at odds with the council, whilst they attempt to preserve the utopian vision of architect Sir Peter Shepheard and artist Peter Laszlo Peri, who rebuilt the crumbling 19th century artist studio complex in the late 1960s, providing socially rentedwork spaces and housing for local artists.
